that was a nice surprise but she's been improving all year. I thought she looked great in the parade ring and she seems to have got stronger since Fairyhouse. She showed a turn of foot today that I didn't think she had but I don't think she'll go chasing as she's a valuable commodity as a broodmare. The owners have a nice breeding operation and she'll be a great addition to their paddocks.

she is improving away but she didn't jump particularly well until she had to, at the last two. She showed a good turn of foot to put it to bed and she stayed on well. She'll come back here for the new Grade 1 Mares Hurdle at the Festival. her owners, Jim and Fiona McStay, aren't here today as they are in Glasgow to see their two daughters compete in the World Irish Dancing Contest - hopefully they'll get on as well as the mare did here!

we decided to ride her more positively today and it seems to have worked. We'll keep her to those mares' races and she'd have no problem over two and a half miles.

She did it nicely. She's a nice relaxed mare. We'll try and find a winners event at Christmas or after that.

She's a half-sister to (Listed hurdle winner) Ceol Rua. She's a strong filly and obviously handles that ground,.
