It's nice to win the race again this year and he had the perfect prep at Listowel last month. We focused on this for a few months, he runs really well fresh and was bouncing in the parade ring today.

That's a lovely pot to win. He ran a blinder at Fairyhouse last November (in a Grade B Handicap Chase) but I don't think he has really had his conditions again until recently. He has won a hurdle and a chase and we will try and go for the treble now on the flat in the Leopardstown November Handicap next weekend. He should get into it.

It gives me satisfaction and pleasure to win John's (Mulhern) race and J.P. (McManus) will be thrilled too, he's at the Ryder Cup now. He had a little injury in his hind leg but had been working well recently and this race was perfect for him. He was taking on maiden hurdle winners at level weights. He is more likely to go back chasing now.

He got there in the end. It might give him confidence now and he could go on from here. He has some good handicap hurdle form and the winter ground probably didn't suit him.

It's around thirty years ago since I had my last two-year-old winner. He is a grand colt and he should make a nice three-year-old. He is very straight-forward and consistent. He'll probably have another run in a nursery to get a bit more experience.
