Charles (O'Brien) was adamant that I drop him in and get him settled today. He actually didn't settle that well really but when we turned in I let him stride on. He met the last on a long stride and got to the front sooner than I intended but kept on well up the hill. It's lovely ground and there's plenty juice in it.

Dundalk Fri, 25th Nov, 2011 (1st)
Fantasy King was terribly unlucky last time out. Fran (Berry) just couldn't get him out in time and there was nothing he could do. He was a worthy winner tonight . Johnny (Murtagh) wanted to hold onto him for as long as possible and he gave him a good ride. Fantasy King might go hurdling now.

We'll keep him on the go throughout the Summer now, he hops off the fast ground. He's still a bit green and there's still a bit of improvement to come.

This wasn't exactly the plan when he was bought as a yearling. We gave him a little break and he just grew and grew so then it was time for Plan B. We've always thought a lot of him. I was impressed with the jockey too, he's getting very brave in his old age. We'll keep him on the go throughout the Summer now as he loves the quick ground.
