It worked out grand. I was a bit disappointed with Ball D'Arc as he never travelled at all,. I said to Davy 'if you are flat out going past me first time I'll be happy' because he needs an end to end gallop. Thankfully that worked out grand. He only cost us ten grand. His job is done now and if he never wins again we're happy. There is a race in a few weeks time for him at Navan. He definitely won't be going to Cheltenham — not if I have my way anyway.

Jack (Kennedy) did the right thing the last day as he let him hack home after making a bad mistake,. He only cost ten grand so if he never wins another race its job done. He’s a two miler and he loved coming off a fast gallop. If you don’t bully him early he’ll arrive on. Nick (Bradley) is ballsy enough with his entries (entered in the Queen Mother Champion Chase) but if it’s up to me we would be looking at a little conditions race.
