I didn't think he'd stay going as that's the first time he's finished a race on soft ground. He'll go for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham. He's rated 137 in Ireland, so shouldn't be too much higher in England.

I don't think he has as much in hand over hurdles as his chase ratings suggests (98 against 136) but he did well to win after having two awful falls over fences recently. He was travelling very well when he fell here two runs back and jumped a shadow when he fell at Fairyhouse the last day. I'd say we'll go back over fences with him now.

He likes that summer soft ground but when the handicapper gave him a mark of 120 after winning the last day and I thought that was him done. He's got a good pedigree and he's related to Paddy's Return.

He stopped like he was shot at Perth the last day. The last few runs the ground had been a little bit quick for him so he wasn't letting himself down on it. A little bit of juice helped him today. His jumping won it for him and no doubt he has improved for going chasing. He had been off the track for a while with tendon injuries. When he won his point-to-point he looked decent.

He's been very disappointing over hurdles. We thought he was a good horse when he won his point-to-point but then he got a leg injury and was given all the time in the world to recover. He just came back this year and we had no real reason for his bad runs. All I can say is that's the difference a fence makes!
