After riding a Group race double over two days at the Curragh last month on Speak In Colours and New York Girl, there was more Pattern success for 3lbs claimer Shane Crosse as he guided Degraves (7/2) to victory in the Bet With The Tote At Leopardstown Eyrefield Stakes (Group 3).

Degraves made it third time lucky in the Welcome To Navan Racecourse Maiden, scoring under Donnacha O'Brien for his brother Joseph.
Wed 09th Oct
Michael Halford has some lovely two-year-olds this season and Sinawann (9/1) is another nice prospect for the Kildangan trainer after the Aga Khan-bred colt, from the family of Sinndar, took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden over the straight mile by a length from Agitare (7/1).

He travelled well, Shane said he quickened up very well and had a bit of a look when he got to the front,. He'll have his break now and come back for a nice race in the spring. He's a Camelot so he'll go ten furlongs anyway and then we'll go from there.

He did it nicely. The form of his last run worked out really well so he was probably entitled to do that but I think he's a smart horse,. He had no problem with the ground, he seemed fine on it and galloped through it well. I think he'll get a bit further but he's not slow. He quickens well, travelled really smooth, so I think a mile is probably fine for him at the minute.
