Cool Oscar was lively in the betting this morning for the Tote Sports Lounge Handicap Hurdle. On the track at Punchestown that market support continued (12s into 9s) and the David Splaine (his second winner in as many days) ridden now three time winner got the money for his backers with a four length success.

It's very hard to keep him right as he has very bad feet. I have to take my time with him,. I knew he was in good form today though . he was eating at me when I was saddling him up. I have two in training and the other one, Ballyine ran in the previous race and he was fourth.

This horse needed time and he is a very honest horse . he is a gentleman to train. I train in Templemore beside Bill Harney and I have just the two in. I have some young stock too. My wife Winifred is very sick at the moment. It was great that she was here to lead this fellow in. An uncle of mine trained horses, he was Pat Hogan and he trained in Toomevara.
