that was a bit of a shock . he had form from a while ago but I'd say he has just gone slow and I'd say he might need that trip. The blinkers seemed to have set him alight too.

He lost his way a little bit and came down the ratings a bit as a result,. He'll mix it during the summer over jumps and on the Flat.

He is a good little horse and he jumped and travelled great. We might give him a Cheltenham entry now but we'll probably have to get another win into him to get in there.

He loves it around here. Shay said he was hating the ground at the top of the hill but he came up the hill at the end strongly. He is so highly rated that it is hard to know where he'll go next. If we could find a suitable race for him at Cheltenham he'd go there. He is not as effective over hurdles but he is only rated 114 at that game so we have the option of going for a handicap.

He did it well, he probably wants better ground even though he got through it well enough today. He stays and jumps very well and we might give him a little break now and freshen him up for Leopardstown at Christmas, I think he's entitled to take his chance there. He's improving all of time and our long-term plan, everything going well, would be the Fred Winter.

We bought him out of Ger Lyons and he thought he'd be good enough to win a maiden. We thought that maybe the ground would be a bit too fast for him. She has been schooling well at home and she'll go for a three year old hurdle shortly. He'll run again very soon.
