Luke has been with us six months, is bred to be a jockey and must be some judge! That's just his second ride over hurdles. Would you believe it, Champagne Platinum beat the horse that just won the Thyestes (Ain't That A Shame) at Navan in 2022, so it took a long time between drinks. Today's race cut up, he ran well in a Pertemps Qualifier the last day and he was racing against lesser horses. We tried him a couple of times in banks racing but the horse isn't in love with it and the ground is a big factor for him. E Bolger

After race at Navan Sat, 22nd Jan, 2022 (1st)  The champagne is on me! He's a talented horse, it's just that he lost his way a bit. We are probably going to go to Punchestown for the cross-country and we'll see then after that what way we go. He was very cautious with his jumping but one thing about him is he has an engine and he stayed on. I was wondering whether we were up or not. On paper it looked a nice enough beginners and I'm chuffed with him. It's a nice surprise to get, at the start of the year and get it going. E Bolger
