Sean and Aideen both work for Jessica Harrington and this horse came from her yard. He ran well in Killarney the last day but he has a little think about things, so the blinkers were a big help today. We had a winner at the festival previously with Eastern Racer but that was during covid so this is great. We had this in mind as we know he runs well fresh, so we had one go today. After his last run in March, we said we'd keep him for the Flat and that he could mix between hurdles this week. He was on a nice mark, so we sat tight. He runs well fresh but has done loads of work and it worked out beautifully. He'll run again somewhere at the meeting again later in the week. We have excellent facilities at home for getting them fit and we're putting in a new gallop this year for the Flat horses.

he’d a lovely first run over hurdles and has come forward nicely. He’s been doing it at home but when he had no company in front, he was still a bit green. When he had company he was much slicker in his jumping. He’s won on the Flat and he’s won over hurdles now and he’ll probably mix it between both as the season goes on.

He's a lovely, tough, honest horse and I'm very happy with that. He came forward for his first run. Obviously it's a hard track when you've little experience but he handled it well and got the job done. Ben was very good on him. I'd a horse like him last year, Bottler'secret, and he's very much in the same mould. We left him on the side as a two-year-old for this job and he's a nice horse going forward. The Slevins are local to me and this is the first horse they've had with me, so I'm delighted for them.
