He promised to be a good horse one time and hopefully he'll get back there,. He had a little bit of an issue with a hind leg which held him up. Last season was a bit of a non event as nothing went right for him. He seemed to like that goodish ground, he's a Mahler and a lot of them do. Two-and-a-half miles is his minimum. We jumped when he needed him, when he sent him down he jumped, so that was good.

He's a northern horse, we bought him off Warren Ewing and he came very highly recommended. He won a bumper by a long way here. We kept him a novice until this season. He didn't run up to his par at Punchestown but we think he is a nice horse. He wants further than two miles, two and a half I'd say. The bit of rain helped him and he jumped great. It was a funny race with that loose one all over the place. The best horse won. I'd say we will try and get into a novice hurdle somewhere before Christmas - there's a couple of them there in Navan over more of a trip I'd imagine.

We bought him from Warren Ewing at the Sales in Cheltenham not that long ago. He recommended him very highly to us and he was right. We did one piece of work with him and Jonny Moore rode him and said he would be hard to beat wherever he goes. We were going to go to Leopardstown with him and then his owner decided he wasn't going to go racing today so we said we would bring him up here and his brother came. He'll go for another bumper. He won't run over hurdles this season, we'll keep him to next year. He'll have another run later on and we'll see how we get on. It's hard to know just where you are with that race because Jamie (Codd on Dorydalis) went a hell of a gallop and he just probably fell in a hole. Nina liked him anyway and he seemed to do it well. He's a racehorse anyway.
