Bethrah is very progressive and it is great to train my first Classic winner for her owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum. Today was the day and I'll talk with Sheikh Hamdan's racing manager Angus Gold before making plans . she should have no difficulty getting a mile and a quarter though.

The ground was drying up as the evening went on and that's as fast as he wants it. I probably won't run him on that kind of ground again,. The second horse is a Group 2 winner and loves fast ground. Pat said that even with the ground fast he wants to win and guts and courage won the day. Sometime during the year we'd love to have a crack at a Group 1 with him. He's in the Queen Anne at Ascot but that looks unlikely. A lot depends on the ground.

That was a positive performance. She got a lovely ride from Pat Smullen and will obviously go for the Irish 1,000 Guineas now,. She has always showed plenty of ability and won her maiden easily the other day before following up there. She can get a bit excitable but there has been a lot of work gone into her over the winter with stalls and she's responded very well. She's an improving filly and I think she'll represent us very well in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Bethrah is a useful filly and she ran very well in the 'Million Sprint' at The Curragh on her only start as a two year old. We'll target blacktype success with her now and the Derrinstown Stud Guineas Trial at Leopardstown is next on her agenda.
