I say the ground was as quick as he wants it and he was going as quick as he wanted all the way. Jack just loves him and says he's a proper horse. He said his jumping was electric today, he was shortening and going long when he wanted him to. He said he was a different horse completely. I'd say slower ground will be a big help to him. They went a good gallop but he was happy with him the whole way, he said even at the last he was long but he came for him. He said he was doing nothing in front from the last home, only idling. I'm delighted. If he won today the plan was to either go to Cheltenham for the November meeting or else go to Fairyhouse at the end of November. I think I might go to Cheltenham, if he's really good in the meantime, for the juvenile hurdle there. I think he'd love it around there. He just eats and sleeps and comes out of his races brilliant so we might go there, we'll see how he is. I think he's the best three-year-old so far anyway, so I'm delighted with him.

His jumping was better today, he was in front way too soon but I told Jack to be good and positive on him,. When he got to the front he was wicked green but he has an engine and I think this lad will go a good bit. He'll run in all those three year old hurdles - I don't think he's too bad. It was a good performance today and when his jumping becomes slicker, there is plenty to come. The trip is never a problem and the better the race, the better he'll be. He's not short of pace and goes on any ground, from good to heavy. He is a nice horse to look forward to.

As Ben said he'll never win by far. When he gets there he just does enough and pulls himself up. He's always been like that and you don't want to be getting there too soon with him. We're lucky we got the right verdict and I'm delighted as it was very close. I thought he ran very well here on Monday when he was sixth (to Citronnade) in a higher grade. I thought with this lower grade and getting the allowance for being a three-year-old he would be very competitive. Around here you need luck and I thought Ben was very good, he's a brilliant rider. Long-term his future is over hurdles, he'll be twice the horse over hurdles, but I'm in no panic to go hurdling with him. When the ground gets a bit softer it'll suit him a lot better, that ground is as quick as he wants it. I'll have great fun with him, he's a fine big horse. We'll tip away on the Flat for the time being and he'll go hurdling later in the year.

With a bit of luck he'll keep it. He's a lazy, leery horse and Andy (Slattery) said he was on and off the bridle, he does nothing. I can't wait to get him over a hurdle, I think that's where his future is. He could make a smashing hurdler, he's schooled already and he loves it. He's basically not a Flat horse. He'll be a fun horse and off his mark hopefully he can win again. He loves that ground and he's very versatile as he seems to handle any ground. He's run well on quick ground as well.
