The Listowel grouping, the Lehaghaidhanspraoi (translated as on with the party) Partnership had a dream come through when their Hello Man landed the John & Terry Moriarty Memorial Handicap to credit Gary Carroll with a double. The champion apprentice had half an hour previously partnered Beauty Express to victory.

See You Smile (beat only one home) would prefer quicker ground and Dart Queen (6th) we thought was the best of the three. She wants further on that kind of ground. Beauty Express did it well, Gary gave her a very good ride. With that wide draw we thought she might struggle. The cheek-pieces certainly helped. Kevin (Manning) said when the gap opened for her in Dundalk she looked around a bit so she's still learning her trade.
