He works very well at home. Obviously he's getting older but he has taken us half-way across the world. He was placed in a Group 1 in Dubai and was fourth in Singapore. He's not the horse he was but Robbie was riding him work and he was flying for him at home. We let him have a go on him today and it all worked out well. He's a real good 5lb claimer.

I see he is after peeing all over Sole Power's course record here (Balmont Mast clocked 57.35, shaving 0.11 off the previous T.R. at the venue). He's a good horse and he'll go to Dubai. I see the handicap ratings went out the window . that's a shock. He's in the Golden Rose in Lingfield (Listed event over six furlongs on November 17th) in a few weeks and we'll see about that.

That's a good day for Johnny,. This horse will come back for the Mercury Stakes here. This is a lucky race for us and we've won it three years in a row with good horses. He was a bit heavy but it's all about 80 per cent fitness and 20 per cent freshness here.

He was impressive. I've been preaching about how good I thought he was for a long time and looking stupid but he's finally coming right,. Johnny said he might be up to carrying a 5lb penalty.

what's seldom is wonderful as I've been a while without a winner it's nice to get off the cold list. People probably think Balmont Mast isn't genuine but if you look back, a lot of his form has worked out well and he's also had a bit of surgery done on his wind.
