If he was a human being you would call him Paul McGrath, he’s had so many chips taken out of his knees! Ger Kelly and the crowd down in Fethard Equine have done a great job to hold him together for us.

That was nice. We thought we had fitness on our side but I was just a bit scared that the ground might be a bit too heavy for him,. He bossed it all the way and his jumping again is his forte. I don't know where we're going to go next with him. We went on to Leopardstown last year and it didn't work out. He may be just put away for the spring. We'll see what the boss and Frank say. A place like here is up his alley with the line of fences down the back. I thought Leopardstown would really suit him, with the good ground, but it didn't go his way last year. They are good horses in behind him there today and he had 11-10 as well. It was a good performance all around. He got a lovely ride from the front as well. Mark rode him to go his own pace and he still had his ears pricked coming to the second last. Even though a lot of races have been over two miles he gets two-and-a-half as well and you have to around here. The older he's getting he's handling that ground better.

We definitely thought that on his first run since Christmas there'd be a question mark about his fitness,. He just buzzes around there though. Darragh said he was only a passenger but his five pound helped. Killarney is this fella's track - that's for sure. Darragh also won the big one on him - the 100,000 Euro hurdle - at Listowel last year. We may go back for that but he'll be entered for the Kerry National as well. He stays well. He was on fire today - always in command. I thought we'd finish third or fourth and I'd have been over the moon. I'm over the moon and the stars with that. With the bad mistake Darragh said he was just a passenger and going too fast. He's a typical one of those fast chasers - he just wants to get on with it. The idea was to sit in third or fourth but anyway there you go!. There's no complaints when you win - it means you're doing something right!

Jumping is his thing and a big track like this a horse like him can excel. That's what he did. Down the back you are winging and winging but he's taking them on and you have to go with him. You are taking a punt when you are doing it three or four times in a row. But 10 strides from the last I'm saying 'come here, we don't need anything fancy here!'. He's just one of those horses with a good attitude and he wants to go on and wants to do it and wants to please. He's rated 157 and I know he was very impressive today but I'd say it was just the style of racing suited him. if he's in a handicap off 157 it could work for him as well. It's hard to know (how far up the ranks he can go) but he was good fun today. We're delighted with him and he's doing everything we're asking of him. His jumping is slick and the one question mark we would have is the real heavy winter ground. He seems to be in good form all the time at home. We'll follow the ground and follow the money. Leopardstown could be his track with all the fences as he loves the jumping. He's a dream of a horse.

I rode my first winner in Killarney and that’s my biggest win. I was like a child in a candy shop yesterday when I saw my name down to ride him. He’s a very good horse and had the form to prove that as well. Frank (Berry) picked the race out. His chase wins this year were really good and he’s rated 157 over fences and 131 over hurdles so that was the reason and it was a great pot to get. He’s happier going left-handed. Darragh was a good pony race rider and he’s been with us now for the last 12 months. He’s getting plenty of experience over hurdles and fences, and he’s going the right way all right.

Barry was saying he's slicker going left handed but the ground is everything for him,. A conditions race at Limerick could be next. As regards Galway and the Plate, I don't know if there's enough jumps coming home there for him. Jumping is his asset and he wants the ground really good. Barry and himself are a match made in heaven.

He is an improving horse and ground is the key and it came at the right time. He got a lovely ride from Barry and jumps like a stag out of that ground. He has a very high cruising speed and is rated up there now so we have to go for these type of races with him. Barry, Frank (Berry) and JP will discuss plans now but he might be vulnerable coming up that Galway hill for the Galway Plate so we'll see. He's a speedy fellow and we'll follow the prize money with him.

I was worried about the ground as he is a typical Presenting and likes nice ground but he really handled it well and settled as well which was good as well. That man (Donal McInerney) is riding out of his skin too and that's his forte as he is cool and sat and waited with him. That's two 50,000 euro races he has won now and it was a professional performance. The time he was running in his hurdle rating, everyone was touting him but he had a chip in a knee then and just wasn't as good but he was feeling no pain today. I don't know where we'll go from here and Frank (Berry) will guide me in the right direction and while he'll have to step up in grade now, the future looks good for that horse.

He always threatened to do that and I have a feeling that he is this type of ground horse. He travels so well during the winter on soft ground and doesn't help himself and that was the reason he had a few falls too. We'll stay kicking on with him now during the summer and the 2m1f chase at Galway is a possibility.
