He's like a lamb at home, very easy going and nothing is a bother to him. He's a good jumper, and the more you push him the more he finds. We decided to run him here over two miles and a furlong, rather than a longer trip later in the week, to get him jumping quickly. He's got 11.5 in the Galway Hurdle and just 9.10 in the Plate. We'll probably go for the Plate as it would be boring to win the Hurdle again!

I was hoping he would win. I thought he would get the trip as he won well over two-and-ahalf miles in Cork before,. He idled when he got to the front but he's back in terrific form. We'll stay novice chasing for a while and I'll half keep the Galway Plate in mind for him.

We knew he was in savage order coming here today and we'll head for the Galway Hurdle again next - today's win will leave him spot-on for it. he has 11st08lbs at Galway and I might claim 7lbs off him then - today was a fine stepping stone for him!

I know I said yesterday we were going to late him stay over night but we decided to bring him home in the end. He was home at 9.20 yesterday evening and he was very relaxed and looking well in himself this morning so we decided to run him particularly as there is no race from him in the next two weeks. The decision has paid off well and we will now train him for the Champion Hurdle next year.

The horse is in super form. I told Stephen to race him on the inside and everything worked out well. We gave him a canter this morning at six o'clock as he's a bit stuffy. We checked his heart and he obviously has a good recovery rate because he was absolutely fine and squealing before the race. Stephen is a good young lad and he rides out for me the odd morning. I spoke to Davy [Russell] and he said he's too much weight so when the weights went up I said we'd let Stephen ride him. It hasn't sunk in yet but we've now won the McDonogh Handicap, the big Amateur Handicap and the hurdle so I'll have to try and win the Plate now.
