He jumped real well apart from one and wasn't doing a lot in front. Hopefully he'll improve off it and at least he's got his confidence back. Win, lose or draw the main thing was to get around today. I was happy enough to have some company as he wasn't doing a lot. Its dead old ground and he'd probably want it loose or nicer ground. Hopefully he'll keep on the go for the Festivals.

He's probably the same as the first winner, Darroun, in that the better ground was a help. He had disappointed up to now and he looks like a spring horse. He was the same last year. He idled in front and I wouldn't be afraid to go out in trip with him on better ground. He'll get entries in the novice hurdles at Cheltenham and I'm not sure if he'll run before then.

He's been knocking on the door. He was unlucky in Hexham on his debut and he was very unlucky in Fairyhouse last time where I think he'd have won if he'd kept straight. We'll take him home now and see how he is. We'll see what direction we'll go then. He was in the sales but the owner was keen to consider Cheltenham. We'll see.
