He was very good, he doesn’t quite show that at home. I think he’s probably relentless and has a really high cruising speed. Jasmin De Vaux won this bumper before he won in Cheltenham (in 2024), but he’d be a very different type of horse to him. He’s a relentless galloper, a big strong horse. I’d imagine he’s a Cheltenham horse. He could be along the lines of Florida Pearl, those Cheltenham bumper horses.

Nice to see Danny picking up the pieces again on Argento Boy who was running a cracker here the last day when he slipped up. I was very happy that he was able to do that over that trip. He jumped a lot better. He was green enough at times, especially coming to the last. We put cheekpieces on him over hurdles and might do the same over fences.

Argento Boy was disappointing at Christmas but obviously a reproduction of his previous run here would have done. We don’t know why he disappointed at Christmas; he just never ran his race. Paul said he felt much better through the race today, and the further he was going the better he was getting. Paul felt he lacks a bit of concentration over his hurdles, and he should make a nice three-mile chaser next year.
