He battled hard. Two-and-a-half-miles is too short for him. He will go to Sligo now on Wednesday in a race over three miles then he will have a break. He will be 18 pounds well in on Wednesday so we will have to go there. He's as tough as nails and keeps plugging on.

He is in again in a two and a half mile Handicap Chase at Clonmel on Sunday and he will probably run there. He jumped much better today than at Ballinrobe and he loves that testing ground. That's my eighth winner in the last ten days and it's Brian's first winner as a professional in Ireland (rode a double at Perth on Wednesday). His owner (Neville Eager) is from Wicklow.

He was entitled to win off that mark. He is entered in Perth on Thursday but I don't think we will bother with that now. I thought the other were getting to him near the line.
