After race at Galway Sun, 29th Oct, 2023 (1st)  It is a bit of a relief as in beginners' chases you never know what will happen. He was very good, though, and those ex point-to-pointers are well schooled. We brought him to the Curragh a few weeks ago and he was really really good. He would like a little nicer ground than that and got tired in the end, but he didn't get as tired as the others. . Where I'd love to be is in Leopardstown over Christmas for the Grade 1 novice over three miles. We'll enter him for the Drinmore in between, but might instead run in the Grade 2 Florida Pearl (2m6f, Punchestown) instead. Sam's dad Warren had him as a young horse and Sam is sponsored by Philip Polly, who also sponsors Danny McMenamin in Scotland. It's Sam's first winner back from injury and he is blowing as hard as the horse! Noel Meade

After race at Galway Sun, 30th Oct, 2022 (1st)  He did everything wrong but still won. The loose horse affected him as he was running away the whole way and it affected his jumping. He has an engine but isn't slow either,. I would have been happy to run him over two miles but with the way the races fell I ran him here. I didn't think 2m6f would be any problem to him and he showed it. It might come too soon but he could go for the Monksfield Novice Hurdle at Navan, we'll see. Noel Meade

After race at Galway Tue, 4th Oct, 2022 (1st)  We bought him in Cheltenham after he won his point-to-point. I think the softer the ground the better he’ll be and if I get my way he’ll go jumping hurdles straight away. He’s a really nice horse, stays well and goes through the ground well. Noel Meade
