Ben gave him a good ride, and he's a great horse to pull out a bit. There is a three miles amateur race in Punchestown, and he may get a bit nicer ground there. Today was as soft as he'd like it.

I was hopeful today but he had never been here before. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought he was going to be a poor third. Luke gave him a perfect ride.

He was a bit disappointing at Ballinrobe where he was dropped in and jumped high. He saw more daylight today and jumped better. As long as the ground stays middling he will keep going. He needs three miles.

He has been running well all along. While he likes soft ground I was wondering whether it was too soft for him. He will go for something similar next and probably have one more run before Galway (in late October). He will be kept on the go for the winter and will make a nice chaser as jumping is his strong point.
