Permission was given for The Last Time (GB) and Prada On Parole (GB) to each wear a red hood to post; for Baileys Honeymoon (FR) to wear a red hood to the start and be mounted in the chute.
Approaching final furlong the winner, Little Bittern (IRE), shifted quickly right-handed giving a bump to Top Biller (GB), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Little Bittern (IRE).
Inside the final furlong, the winner, Little Bittern (IRE), continued to hang right-handed despite the best efforts of its rider to correct carrying Grey Operations (IRE), placed second, briefly off its intended racing line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Little Bittern (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that The Last Time (GB), unplaced was lame on its left- fore and Prada On Parole (GB), unplaced, was suspected to have tied up post race.
