An enquiry was held to consider why John Quinn was running My Ukulele (IRE) here at Nottingham on going described as Soft, having declared the filly a non-runner at Hamilton on 23 September 2019 on ground with the same official description.
Having spoken to Quinn on the telephone, he stated that, in his opinion, the going at Hamilton had been more testing than the official description and was happy to let My Ukulele (IRE) take its chance at Nottingham today.
Permission was given for Knowing Glance (IRE) to go early to post.
The Starter reported that Knowing Glance (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and was withdrawn at 4:01pm.
Richard Fahey was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, Imperial State (GB), unplaced, edged left at the same time as Make Me (GB), placed second, shifted slightly right, causing Sir Plato (IRE), unplaced, to be crowded for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Make Me (GB).
