Leaving the stalls, Tyche (GB), placed third, jumped right at the same time as Casina di Notte (IRE), placed eighth, jumped awkwardly and shifted left, causing Broughtons Flare (IRE), placed fifth, to be badly hampered between the two runners, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs out involving Tahonta (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sophie Reed; Broughtons Flare (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Cameron Hillhouse.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentices, a Jockey Coach was present in the enquiry.
The interference was found to be accidental as Tahonta (IRE) lugged slightly left at the same time as Intervention (GB) moved marginally right-handed causing Broughtons Flare (IRE) to clip the heels of Tahonta (IRE) and stumble.
Ryan Sexton, the rider of Intervention (GB), placed fourth, had appeared to use his whip contrary to the Conditions of the race.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Sexton was accompanied in the enquiry by a Jockey Coach.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Sexton was suspended for 7 days for improper riding.
