Shortly after the start, I Think So (IRE), placed second, hung left crowding Kybosh (IRE), placed third, which in turn caused Zarkavon (GB), placed seventh, to be checked and make contact with the hindquarters of Barbarosa (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of I Think So (IRE).
The winner, Tio Esteban (FR), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Gowran Park on 26 September 2019, where the gelding finished tenth of sixteen, beaten 11 lengths.
The representative of W J Martin explained that Tio Esteban (FR) had stripped fitter for its reappearance run after a 98 day break and appeared to benefit from the tapeta surface on this occasion.
The gelding was routine tested.
The performance of Medici Moon (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Richard Price could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
