The girth on Foveros (FR), placed second, had come undone from towards the end of the back straight during the final circuit.
The Stewards were unable to establish the cause of this incident as an inspection of all the riders equipment revealed it was both in a serviceable condition and full working order.
The Starter confirmed that Cameron Iles did have his girth checked pre-race.
Following the race, Lewis Saunders reported that Believe Jack (FR), unplaced, was outpaced throughout.
