A bad mistake three out threatened to scupper Lochan's Lacha's bid, but he flew the last to

give him a chance of catching Danny's Vic, which he did by a head margin. Even money

backers were certainly singing Paul Carberry's praises afterwards and rightly so.

Danny's Vic, an each-way gamble from 25/1 in the morning into 10/1, looked like she'd done

enough but those that invested won't complain too much. She was just unfortunate to run

into a well-handicapped animal from this outfit.

Blanchfield was only headed at the last. This was a good attempt from the front under

top-weight. Florimund and Letterlee Star showed a little bit of promise.
