The Stewards informed T.Hogan, trainer, that Stay Thinking, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again
James J. Doyle, rider of Cafe Con Leche trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run
The Stewards interviewed James J. Doyle, rider of Cafe Con Leche, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, concerning the ride he gave his mount and the report he furnished to the Clerk Of the Scales afterwards. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had come off the bridle about three furlongs out and he feels this to be his minimum trip as he is a horse that stays very well but is not straight forward and he would advise the reapplication of head gear in the future. He added that the head gear was left off today to try something new
Furthermore, he stated that when they turned in the runners in front of him fanned out right across the track and he went to follow the favorite but the gaps didn't come. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation given
