The Starter reported that Clarion Lady (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Simon Pearce was informed that the mare could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Shortly after passing the 3 furlong marker, the winner, Single (IRE), shifted left-handed away from the whip giving a bump to Clarion Lady (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Single (IRE).
The performance of Let Me Be (IRE), which started favourite and finished eighth, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Keith Dalgleish could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance on this occasion and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Let Me Be (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
