FIERY LAD's narrow defeat to No Strings here recently looked solid form and won well here. Trainer Ger Lyons reported "he was touched off by a good horse here the last day and I knew we'd improve from that."
He added "FIERY LAD has a lot of growing and maturing to do and will make a lovely hurdler for someone later in the year."
FASCINATING PADDY raced prominently, had the help of the running-rail and stayed on for second. He can win an average contest from his current mark while a similar remark applies to WESTERN WINNER, who showed improved form from his two year old runs and probably stays well enough, and IMPERIAL BELLE, who also stayed on.
THE BUCKS ON BLUE made the running but dropped right out when headed and appears limited in ability.
