I thought she would win but I didn’t think it would be that close. I’d say she needed the run in Navan and she was 10lb better off today. In fairness to the other horse he’s run well again. I think she’s a nice filly and hopefully she will go on and win again. She will go for something similar and maybe over a bit further.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Duke Of Leggagh, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he thought he was within the limit but accepted he had breached the whip rules and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.F.Carroll was in breach of R10.3 (g) (frequency) Having taken his record into account the Raceday Stewards cautioned G.F. Carroll on this occasion.
