Permission was given for State Secretary (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
The performance of Must Be Royale (GB) which started favourite and finished last of ten runners, was considered.
Michael Appleby could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than the report from its rider, Hollie Doyle, that Must Be Royale (GB) had ran too freely.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Bristol Hill (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely.
