The winner Apache Jack (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Leopardstown on 28 December 2018 where the gelding was pulled up.
Stuart Crawford explained that the gelding may have appreciated being able to dominate in a small field on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Apache Jack (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Beau Et Sublime (FR), placed seventh, lost its right front shoe.
