Permission was given for Moonraker (GB) and WARRIOR’S VALLEY to go early to post.
The performance of Moonraker (GB), which started favourite and finished last of six, was considered.
Michael Appleby’s representative explained that the gelding may be feeling the effects of a recent busy campaign.
Moonraker (GB) was routine tested.
The winner, Astro Jakk (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 5 December 2019, where the gelding finished eighth of thirteen, beaten 12 lengths.
Karl Burke explained that Astro Jakk (IRE) benefitted from the first-time application of a visor on this occasion.
