Permission was given for Natsumi (GB) and Solar Edge (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and Roysdelight (IRE) to go to post early.
Natsumi (GB) wore ear plugs which were removed at the start.
The Starter reported that The Magic Turtle (GB), trained by Des Donovan, had arrived at the start with an incorrectly fitting girth and surcingle which had to be replaced and caused a delay to the start of the race.
The trainer’s representative and the Starter were both interviewed.
The trainer’s representative explained that he had fitted the smallest set of girths that he had and the filly must have blown out once the jockey was mounted.
The Starter reported that the girth and surcingle were subsequently changed at the start as a consequence.
Donovan was fined £140 for failing to ensure that he had correctly fitting equipment on his horse.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Hint Of Humour (GB), placed third, hung right-handed on the home bend.
