The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. Hugh Hynes, that Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Blue Templar, had weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had no problem at today's weight and had inadvertently forgotten to discard his gloves when weighing in. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Carrignagapple (GB) trained by Catherine Hamilton was found to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage

Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Troll D'Oudairies (FR) trained by Daniel G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having felt lame
