A deserved success for Schindlers Hunt, who had run so well in the Champion Chase to finish fourth despite being free early on.
Settled in behind the leaders today he improved to second turning for home and challenged at the third last.
He took the measure of Gemini Lucy after the second last and stayed on well to the line.
Trainer Dessie Hughes was delighted with the victory and said that his charge had probably done enough for the season now.
Gemini Lucy jumped out in her usual front-running role but was headed before the fifth.
She was content to sit in behind English raider Tidal Fury until taking it up again before the fourth last. She couldn't respond when headed by the winner and had no more to offer on the run-in.
Wishwillow Lord tracked the leaders and was ridden into third turning for home. He was making no impression from three out before staying on to take second on the run-in.
Mansony was ridden in a moderate fifth before three out. Left fourth there when Blueberry Boy unshipped Andrew Lynch he kept on one paced to third on the run-in.
The money came for Glenfinn Captain (9/1 to 7/1 morning and 9/2 on course) but he was under pressure at halfway. A moderate sixth before three out he stayed on to be closer at the death.
