An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, involving Sioux Frontier (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Qawamees (IRE), placed second, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.
O’Neill was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right when insufficiently clear, causing Sioux Frontier (IRE) to be carried off its intended line onto the heels of Dew Pond (GB), placed third, causing Edmunds to check for several strides.
Following the race, Rebecca Bastiman reported that Low Profile (GB), placed sixth, was unsuited by the Good to Soft going, which in their opinion was riding softer than the official description, and would prefer a quicker surface.
