Having jumped the third last fence the winner, My Lady Grey (GB), shifted left-handed at the same time as Heydour (IRE), which was subsequently pulled up, edged right-handed, resulting in the horses coming together and causing the rider of Heydour (IRE) to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence involving and it had not improved the placing of My Lady Grey (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Heydour (IRE), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
