The Stewards fined G.T.Lynch, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Bens Hampshire, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. Andrew J.McNamara, rider of Cebuano (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his coordination on pulling up. M.J. Bolger, rider of Forced Kin trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race. The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,J.R. Banahan, that A. Ring, rider of Man Of Erin had disobeyed his instructions to remain at a walk to the start and consequently caused a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that A. Ring was in breach of Rule 208 by failing to comply with the instruction of the Starter and suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.
