Permission was given for Standbackandlook (GB) and Veer (GB) to both wear a red hood to the start.
The winner, Lusaka (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ffos Las on the 17 July 2024 where the gelding finished last of six runners beaten 17 lengths.
The explanation given by Rhys Flint that the gelding had benefitted from a drop in grade from class 5 to class 6 on this occasion, was noted.
Lusaka (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Mark Winn reported that Unique Spirit (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
