Approaching 2 furlongs out, Bernard Spierpoint (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly left-handed, moving Frisky (GB), placed fifth, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching 1 furlong out, the winner, Ali Jewels (IRE), shifted marginally left at the same time as, Rewilding (GB), placed third, shifted slightly right-handed, causing Darlo Pride (GB), placed second, to be momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and had not improved the placing of any runner.
The performance of Bernard Spierpoint (GB) which finished unplaced, was considered.
Darryll Holland could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Following the race, George Wood reported that Once Adaay (GB), unplaced, anticipated the start causing the gelding to be slowly away.
