Permission was given for Brazen Belle (GB) to go to post early and to be mounted in the chute and for Enraged (GB) and Lucky Beggar to go early to post.
Lethal Vision (GB) collided with the running rail when leaving the Parade Ring.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the filly was deemed fit to race.
Shortly after the start, the winner, Enraged (GB), lugged quickly right-handed bumping onto Excessable (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Enraged (GB).
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out there was interference between The Grey Lass (GB), placed sixth, who edged slightly left-handed at the same time as Brazen Belle (GB), unplaced, who lugged slightly right- handed, causing the pair to bump on more than one occasion, resulting in The Grey Lass (GB) becoming unbalanced for several strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was not possible to apportion blame.
The performance of Hot Scoop (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Sam England could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Hot Scoop (GB) was routine tested.
