Prior to this race, J S Moore was asked to explain why he was running Roystan Girl (GB) here at Chepstow on going described as Soft, having reported that the filly was unsuited by the Good, Good to Firm going at Ffos Las on 26 August 2021, and would prefer a quicker surface.
The trainer’s explanation that they were making the best of limited opportunities at this stage of the season was noted.
Following the race, the representative of Tony Carroll reported that Maison Beau (GB), placed sixth, was unsuited by the Soft going, which was too Soft on this occasion.
