Ready To Shine (IRE) plunged when being mounted in the chute, unseating Graham Lee and subsequently had to be led riderless to post.
Having been checked by the Doctor at the start, Lee was deemed fit to ride.
Approaching ½ a furlong out Sweet Fantasy (GB), placed third, lugged briefly right-handed moving Page Three (USA), unplaced, off its intended line at the same time as Ready To Shine (IRE), placed second, edged slightly left-handed causing Arctic Fox (GB), placed fifth, to be hampered when short of racing room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ready To Shine (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Ready To Shine (IRE), placed second, lost its left-hind shoe.
