I thought he was very good when he won his point-to-point at our home place in Templemore. But he didn't want to know when he went up to better class and he was lairy enough. The Stewards requested a report from John Patrick Ryan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Kylecrue, winner, as compared with its recent form. Mr Ryan reported that he had been running his charge in better grade handicaps, particularly his last run in clonmel, where he ran from out of the handicap, and he struggled to go the early pace in those races and today he was running in a weaker grade handicap, where his charge could travel well with the early pace and get into a nice rhythm, and this, coupled with the application of first time blinkers may have brought about any apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 80-95
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) Allowances (which are not cumulative, up to and including 2nd December) who have not ridden the winner of a *race allowed 4lb Those who have not ridden the winners of 5 *races allowed 2lb These allowances are not cumulative and no allowance to riders under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed.
