Permission was given for Majestic Stone (IRE) to be mounted on the track and to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend leaving the back straight involving Das Kapital (GB), placed second, ridden by Mr Ross Birkett; Hugoigo (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Mr James Harding; Mauricio (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr Kieren Buckley and Majestic Stone (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Aiden Blakemore.
Birkett was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left carrying Hugoigo (GB) off its intended line and onto Mauricio (IRE), which in turn interfered with Majestic Stone (IRE).
Inside the final furlong, Das Kapital (GB), placed second, hung left carrying Sharp Reply (IRE), unplaced, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Das Kapital (GB).
