An enquiry was held to consider interference in the final half furlong when Red Pike (IRE), placed second, ridden by Harry Russell, interfered with Golden Salute (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Jason Watson.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Russell was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
Russell was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without correction, causing Watson to have to take a check off heels in behind.
Following the race, Eoin Walsh reported that The Establishment (GB), placed seventh, was outpaced in the early stages.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination during routine testing of It's All A Joke (IRE), placed eighth, found the gelding to be lame on its left-fore leg.
