Permission was given for Lippy Lady (IRE) to go early and be led to post.
Rounding the first bend, Toro Dorado (GB), placed seventh, was left short of room when the winner, Act Of Magic (IRE), edged left-handed at the same time as Queen Of Bradgate (GB), unplaced, shifted right- handed.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Act Of Magic (IRE).
The performance of Lippy Lady (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Oisin Murphy reported that the filly found little under pressure, but Paul George could offer no further explanation for Lippy Lady (IRE)'s performance; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Swiss Peak (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away.
Jim Boyle reported that Poetic Motion (GB), unplaced, became unbalanced coming down the hill; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
An enquiry was held into the unruly behaviour of Lippy Lady (IRE), trained by Paul George, which planted in the chute and had to be led riderless to post.
Noting that Lippy Lady (IRE) had also been unruly on several other occasions, George was informed that any future similar behaviour from the filly would result in her being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
